Role - Quality Assurance Officer (Care Services)
Location - GCHSCP, 100 Borron Street, Glasgow, G4 9XE
Contract Status - Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Officer within our Home Care Services team. This is a dynamic and challenging role where you will play a key part in ensuring service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across care provision for older people in Glasgow.
Home Care supports over 4,500 service users daily with a dedicated workforce of more than 2,000 staff. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining high standards of care and improving outcomes for service users.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee governance and compliance across Home Care services.
• Identify areas of good practice and ensure these are embedded and expanded.
• Analyse trends and themes to drive quality improvements and exceed regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including Care Inspectorate, SSSC, and other local authorities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner organisations and internal teams.
• Support service user and staff forums to capture feedback and influence development plans.
• Deliver awareness and engagement sessions across diverse teams.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
• Hands-on experience in care services such as Care at Home, Residential Care, or Supported Living.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes and regulatory standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence in engaging with large groups of staff and stakeholders.
