Role – Security Attendant (Older People Residential Services)
Location – GCHSCP Older People Residential Services, Glasgow, G1 1LH
Hours and Shift Pattern – 20hrs per week, as per attached rota

Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership (GHSCP) is seeking to recruit Security Attendants with Meadowburn and Victoria Gardens Care Homes to support the safety, security and wellbeing of residents, staff and visitors within our Older People’s Care Homes, specifically Meadowburn Care Home and Victoria Gardens Care Home.
This role plays an important part in maintaining a safe, calm and supportive environment for older adults, including individuals living with dementia.
As a Security Attendant you will be responsible for maintaining the security of the establishment, including controlled access, monitoring entry and exit points. You will liaise with other professionals visiting the establishment. Your presence will reassure staff and visitors especially during evenings, nights and weekends. You will respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and security concerns, following local and GHSCP procedures as well as maintaining accurate incident reports and security logs.
We are looking for individuals who present as calm, reliable and can deal with situations in a confident and professional manner. Have effective communication and interpersonal skills. Can work independently, utilising own initiative while also being an effective member of a wider care and support team
Rotas within the establishments cover 7 days therefore candidates must be available to cover the full roster requirements - evening and weekend working. Applicants will be expected to cover citywide to support demands of service.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
