Job Description

Applicants are invited to apply for the post of Permanent Security Attendant within a residential care home setting for older people.  

The post will include reception duties, checking staff and visitors into premises. You will assist visitors to the care homes, and to guard the premises, deter unauthorised access and identify any breaches in security of the building.

This position involves maintaining a watch on the entry/exit of the unit to check the identity of visitors to the unit and direct them as appropriate. 

The role will involve providing information or liaising with the emergency services and informing supervisory staff of any issues, as well as maintaining appropriate records in line with HSCP procedures.

Rotas within the establishments cover 7 days therefore candidates must be available to cover the full roster requirements - evening and weekend working. Applicants will be expected to cover citywide to support demands of service.

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
