Job Description
Role – Senior Administration Assistant (Technical Services)
Location – GCHSCP, Baillieston Industrial Estate, Unit 2, Nurseries Road, Glasgow, G69 6UL
Contract Status – Temporary up to 12 months
Are you interested in working for the largest local authority in Scotland, in partnership with the NHS, to help improve the health and wellbeing of our community? Then, you are in the right place!
An opportunity has arisen for the position of Senior Administration Assistant within the Transport and People Support Service (TASS), where you will report to the Assistant Area Operations Manager.
At Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP), TASS provides transport and people support workers that fulfil the roles of both driver and escort for Glasgow Social Work Services. We can also transport children or vulnerable adults to destinations within or out with Glasgow such as foster placements and residential establishments. TASS arranges and oversees journeys that would otherwise prove to be logistically difficult to plan and time consuming for staffs skilled in other disciplines.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Senior Administration Assistant will include the provision of a comprehensive administration service including the maintenance of management systems. This role will also have responsibility for providing guidance and instruction to members of staff within the administration team to ensure all tasks are completed within specific deadlines.
You will record journey information on the TASS system and allocate journeys in response to requests for transport. You will also respond to customer enquiries and allocate administration tasks.
To succeed in this role you will need to be a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual, possessing strong inter-personal and organisational skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently. You will have a good understanding of IT systems and have the ability to deliver a customer focused service.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your understanding of another area of our business as well as working as part of a team who are committed to delivering service excellence throughout all areas of the Transport and People Support Service.
These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
If you would like to find out more about the role before applying, you can contact: Carol Fletcher, Area Operations Manager by emailing carol.fletcher@glasgow.gov.uk
