Join Our Social Work HR Team at Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership!
We are delighted to be recruiting for two experienced HR practitioners to join the Social Work HR Team within Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP).

These opportunities sit within our Employee Relations and Supporting Attendance teams, where you will provide professional HR advice, guidance and support to managers across the Partnership. Working closely with managers, HR colleagues, trade union representatives and other stakeholders, you will help support effective workforce management and the fair and consistent application of Council policies, procedures and employment practices. As a Senior HR Officer, you will advise on complex workforce matters, review information, identify key issues and risks, and use your professional judgement to support positive and proportionate outcomes.

The Roles
Employee Relations – Permanent Position
You will provide advice and support on a wide range of employee relations matters, including complex casework, disciplinary, grievance, capability and other workforce issues. You will work closely with managers and trade union representatives to support effective employee relations across the service.

Supporting Attendance – Temporary Position (up to 1 year)

You will support the delivery of the strategic attendance plan, providing advice and guidance on complex attendance and health-related matters, including long-term absence, Occupational Health recommendations, reasonable adjustments, return-to-work planning and capability. You will help managers support employee wellbeing and attendance in a fair, consistent and compassionate way.

We're Looking For People Who Can Demonstrate:
• Strong operational HR experience and sound professional judgement.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and complex casework.
• Strong analytical skills and experience of using HR information to support decision-making.
• A compassionate people-focused approach

Applications are sought from individuals who are passionate about supporting managers and employees and who are committed to delivering a high-quality HR service that makes a positive difference across our Partnership.

Please note: Applicants should indicate within their application which position they wish to apply for: Employee Relations, Supporting Attendance, or both.

These posts are excepted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).

Interviews will be held on week beginning 26th October 2026.
