Job Description

Role – Senior HR Officer (Human Resources)
Location – GCHSCP, Commonwealth House, 32 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1LH
Contract Status – Temporary (up to 2 years)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Senior HR Officers to join our HR Operations Team at Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP). This is an excellent role for individuals looking to further their HR career within a dynamic, collaborative, and people focused organisation.

This position will take a lead role within one of our key HR functions, which may include Workforce Planning, Transactions, or Project/Service Reform.

Reporting directly to the Principal Officer, you will provide professional advice, guidance and support to managers and employees across a wide range of HR policies, procedures and guidelines. The roles will also contribute to the delivery of our Equal Pay Programme (Job Evaluation / Pay and Grading).

Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a diverse and busy workload are essential. You will also be expected to support and develop team members, helping ensure our operational objectives are met. Substantial experience in an HR role is essential.

Please note that these roles may involve day to day oversight and management of a team, as well as supporting the Head of HR, HR Manager and Principal HR Officer on a range of operational matters.

This is an excellent opportunity to build on your HR expertise and gain further experience within a progressive and high performing HR function.

These posts are excepted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).

Interviews are expected to take place 26th & 27th February 2026.

If you would like to find out more about the role before applying, you can contact: Leeann McAvoy & Angela Smart, Principal Officers, by email: Angela.Smart2@sw.glasgow.gov.uk & Leeann.McAvoy@glasgow.gov.uk
