Job Description
A post has become available within the Public Protection Committee(s) team. The post provides an ideal opportunity for someone with a background in training development and delivery. The Senior Learning and Development Officer will be line managed by the Lead Officer, Public Protection.
The Senior Learning & Development Officer will have responsibility for the development and delivery of both the Adult & Child Protection Committee training programme. There will be opportunities for the Senior Learning & Development Officer to be involved in wider committee work relating to quality assurance and self-evaluation.
Applicants must be educated to degree level (in Social Work, Health or other equivalent discipline), with post-qualification practice and training-delivery experience. A sound understanding of adult/child protection issues, priorities and challenges is essential, as is the ability to work co-operatively across agency boundaries.
These posts are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
