Job Description

Role – Senior Officer (Complaints, FOI and Investigation Team)
Location – GCHSCP, Commonwealth House, 32 Albion Street, G1 1LH
Contract Status – Temporary, up to 31 March 2026


The Complaints, Freedom of Information and Investigations Team (CFIT) within Glasgow City Health & Social Care Partnership, Business Development handle complaints administration and responses, Freedom of Information (FOI) responses and duties under the Data Protection Act 2018, including providing guidance to the wider business in relation to Data Protection matters.


The Senior Officer role has a wide remit including investigating and preparing responses to complaints; subject access requests and Data Protection enquiries; and FOI requests. Candidates should have relevant knowledge and experience of dealing with complaints and related information requests. Candidates are required to be organised, meticulous and have excellent communications skills both written and verbal. Candidates must have excellent analytical skills and be able to identify issues and provide resolutions to often contentious or sensitive information requests in a professional and empathetic manner.


The post holder will be expected to maintain high standards of service and confidentiality and have the ability to work to tight timescales while managing competing demands.


Candidates should be educated to at least SQA Higher Grade level. Please refer to the Person Specification for full details of the required qualifications, skills, knowledge and competencies that are required for the above role.


These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
