Make a Difference. Build Your Career. Join Us!
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference? Join Scotland’s largest local authority, working in partnership with the NHS to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.

Our Care Home is a vital part of Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP). We provide high-quality residential care and specialist support to older people with complex needs, including those living with a dementia. Our dedicated team works closely with health professionals and partners to deliver compassionate, person-centred care every day.

About the role
As a Senior Social Care Worker, you will play a key leadership role in supporting the delivery of excellent care. You’ll oversee the service overnight, supervise staff, and take responsibility for maintaining safety, dignity and wellbeing across the shift. This is a varied and rewarding role where strong judgement and oversight are essential.
Working nights means fewer working days overall. With our rota, you’ll work a short block of 12-hour night shifts (8:00pm – 8:00/8:15am), and then benefit from several days off in a row – ideal if you value flexibility and work-life balance.

We’re looking for someone who can:
• Confidently manage complex and unpredictable situations
• Support and guide a team to deliver high standards of care without immediate on-site senior management support
• Champion a holistic, person-centred approach tailored to older adults

What we’re looking for
• Competence in written and spoken English
• Previous experience of working with vulnerable adults / older people
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting older people

Experience in a Senior role and an HNC in Social Care, SVQ Level III (Health and Social Care), or equivalent is desirable.

We value diversity and warmly welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, including ethnic minorities and speakers of other languages (e.g. Cantonese, Hakka, Punjabi, Urdu).

Important information
• PVG Scheme membership is required (you’ll cover the cost)
• Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is mandatory (we’ll cover the cost). You must be registered or apply within 3 months and achieve registration within 6 months of starting

Why join us?

You’ll be part of a supportive team making a real impact in people’s lives, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career.

These posts are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).

Interviews are expected to take place week beginning 06 July 2026.
