Job Description

The Service Manager for these teams will have operational citywide responsibility for the both the Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) and Promise Participation Worker (PPW) teams, alongside citywide and national strategic lead responsibility for the delivery of Glasgow’s Promise, Participation, Lived Experience and Trauma Informed Practice (children’s services) in Glasgow.

Lead areas/responsibilities include:
• Leading on the alignment of the ASM/IRO role in the city and the development of consistent trauma-informed meeting experiences for families.
• Leading on developing a Participation and Lived Experience strategy across children’s services.
• Leading on the implementation of Trauma Informed Practice across children’s services.
• Chairing of both the citywide Delivering the Promise Board and HSCP Promise Keepers Working Groups.
• Facilitating a number of areas of Promise related practice development areas such as the Language/Relational Writing Test of Change, Family Connections, Brothers and Sisters, Permanence etc.
• Representing Glasgow HSCP on various national forums in relation to the Promise with colleagues from other local authorities, COSLA, Scottish Government, Promise Scotland etc.
• Leading on developing a Culture of Care for our teams and services.
