Job Description

We are looking for qualified Social Workers who like us, are committed to making a real difference to the lives of Adults with Learning Disabilities
We are seeking an energetic, talented, resilient, committed person to come and work with us in Learning Disabilities. We offer a great package of terms and conditions, including flexible working, we also have extensive development opportunities.
We have a large range of services that require to work effectively together, we work in full partnership across the service with our health colleagues and a broad range of partners. You will have sound knowledge of assessment and care management; have practiced extensively under the relevant legislation; and work in a person centred manner which will be fully embedded in your practice. You will be confident in managing risk and looking for innovative ways to promote independence and link people into the local community.
Adult Services: we have a large range of services that require to work effectively together in order to ensure that the most vulnerable within our City get the right service in the right place at the right time. We work in full partnership across both adult and older people’s services with our health colleagues and a broad range of partners and we have a key priority in relation to shifting the balance of care across both service areas and promoting more effective early intervention and preventative supports.
You must possess a Degree / Diploma in Social Work (or Social Work equivalent). As Scottish Social Services Council registration is a statutory requirement for this post under the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001, you must either be already registered or be registered within 6 months from the date you start in this post. Your employment is subject to your continued registrations.

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme & SSSC will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
