Role – Team Leader (Homelessness Services)
Location – GCHSCP, 2 Green Wynd, Calton, Glasgow, G40 2TD
Contract Status – Temporary, up to 12 months

The Temporary Allocation Accommodation Team (TAAT) provides vital support to all Homeless Teams including Connect, Casework Homeless Teams’s, Prison, Hospital & Housing First. The support guarantees the needs of each team are well managed, thus providing a robust and co-ordinated service. The teams focus in on providing a holistic support framework to all service users, while safeguarding those with complex needs. These services include making sure that both the correct level of care is maintained, ensuring temporary and emergency accommodation is allocated effectively and efficiently in accordance to the community’s assessment of need.
As the Team Leader you will ensure the effective day to day operation of the Homeless Temporary Accommodation Allocation Team ensuring that the service allocates homeless emergency accommodation effectively to fulfil or statutory duties. You will work with the Allocations and Green Wynd Coordinator to support effective placement management.
Main Function:
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the Temporary Accommodation Allocation Team to ensure temporary and emergency accommodation is allocated effectively and efficiently in accordance with the community’s assessment of need.
• Support an integrated approach to the management and allocation of void properties.
• Ensure effective recording systems are in place to ensure temporary accommodation use is reported across the service.
You should have strong knowledge and understanding of homeless statutory responsibilities, while demonstrating excellent communication skills. The successful candidate must have experience in supervising staff and understand all current HR policies and regulations.
These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
