Are you interested in working for the largest local authority in Scotland, in partnership with the NHS, to help improve the health and wellbeing of our community? Then, you are in the right place!
Glasgow is a thriving and vibrant city and excellent opportunities exist to join us and contribute towards helping all our neighbourhoods flourish. The Glasgow City Health & Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) is on a journey to radically change the way in which Social Work delivers support and services.
The Clyde Quay Project has responsibility for Assessment, Supervision and Treatment of Registered Sexual Offenders working under Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA). The team works alongside partner agencies to supervise and manage risk in the community following release from prison. They also facilitate the Moving Forward 2 Change groupwork programme.
The role of the Team Leader is critical to provide management and leadership for the service, ensuring workload is allocated appropriately and that there is oversight and supervision of staff managing high risk prison throughcare caseloads. The Team Leader also plays a crucial liaison role between Justice SW and other key stakeholders at the Court, Prisons and Police Scotland.
We are seeking energetic, talented, resilient and committed Team Leaders to secure these outcomes. You will have sound knowledge of assessment and care management; have practiced extensively under the relevant legislation; and work in a person-centred manner which will be fully embedded in your practice. You will be confident in managing risk and looking for innovative ways to promote independence and link people into the local community.
We have a large range of services that require to work effectively together, we work in full partnership with our health colleagues and a broad range of partners and we have a key priority in relation to shifting the balance of care across both service areas and promoting more effective early intervention and preventative supports.
Applicants must either possess a Degree / Diploma in Social Work (or Social Work equivalent). Please refer to the Person Specification for full details of the required qualifications, skills, knowledge and competencies that are required for the above role.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
Successful candidates will also be required to be vetted to Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) level 2.
Registration to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is an essential requirement for this role. You must either be already registered or have applied within 3 months and be registered within 6 months from your start date. Please note as part of the local government pay deal, local authority staff are currently not required to pay SSSC fees.
These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
Interviews will take place on Monday 23rd February.
