To help us achieve that, we are looking for a Box Office Manager to join our Arts & Music team.

What you need to know

Hours: 35 Hours per week. Working in the live event industry requires attendance in the evening and/or weekends occasionally to support the box office operation.

Contract type: Permanent.

Location: City-wide, with your main base at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

What you’ll do

As Box Office Manager, you’ll be a part of an established team, reporting to the Business Development Manager (Box Office). You’ll play an essential role in leading the box office team, driving sales, and delivering customer service excellence.

We’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable operational and team manager experience in a box office or comparable online/telephone/in-person sales.
  • Significant ticket system management for high profile venues and/or events.
  • Confident decision-maker with excellent people skills & experience of successful client account management
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering and motivating their team to deliver customer service excellence in a live event environment.
  • Accuracy in handling cash, credit transactions, gift voucher reconciliation, operational auditing, and reporting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of data protection legislation.
  • Maintaining an awareness of existing and new legislation affecting the sector including PCI DSS Compliance.
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, Outlook both in reporting and presentation.
  • Pro-active, self-reliant, calm under pressure with attention to detail.
