Job Description

Glasgow Life is looking for a Conventions Support Manager to join us on a full time permanent basis.
As Conventions Support Manager you will be joining our in-demand Convention Bureau team. You will be part of a dedicated team which supports conference clients bringing their meetings and site visits to Glasgow.

The role
As Conventions Support Manager, you’ll be an integral part of the team by planning and delivering excellent site visits for our clients, providing a range of city support to conference organisers and liaising with city venues and suppliers. This role is reporting to the Senior Conventions Support Manager and working alongside an established team.

The candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as a Conventions Support Manager, you’ll need:
• Degree/HNC/HND level qualification or equivalent experience (Essential)
• Strong organisational skills, experience of working in fast paced environments with numerous projects running simultaneously (Essential)
• Proven experience in working in a sales and delivery environment, supporting clients to deliver successful outcomes (Esssential)
• Be confident and highly motivated, with a professional approach to project management and delivering tasks to tight deadlines (Essential)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (Essential)

Some of our roles are currently piloting hybrid working, with teams working between the office and home. Your line manager will agree these days with you. This balance enables you to continue much-needed collaborative working.

Our office at Commonwealth House, Albion Street has great links to public transport.

This role is usually working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, and on occasion requiring evening or weekend work to host events or site visits.
