Our focus is on improving both physical and mental well-being while reinvesting income to support service enhancements for Glasgow Club members and the wider community. Our aim is to ensure Glasgow Club membership income and long-term success, delivering key service improvements and whilst achieving member retention and attracting new participants.

Hours: 35 hours per week.
Contract type:
- Fixed Term until 28 July 2028
Pay details: The listed salary is for a full-time role. If you’re applying for a part-time or bank job, we will calculate your pay on a pro-rata basis. The hourly rate is £23.96 per hour.
Location:
- Hybrid. You will spend part of your week at home, and part of your week in one of our offices.
What you’ll do
- As a Fitness Team and Retention Manager, you’ll be a part of an established health and fitness team, reporting to the Health, Fitness and Infrastructure Manager. You’ll play an essential role to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of Health and Fitness Coordinators and gym staff, fostering a customer-focused, target-driven culture that delivers exceptional service, drives member retention, and supports income growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Development Provide effective leadership to the Health and Fitness Coordinator team.
- Performance Management Establish clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Strategic Collaboration Work collaboratively across Sport and support services to align retention and engagement strategies with overall service delivery.
- Operational Oversight Oversee the daily delivery of health and fitness services.
- Member Retention Planning Lead the design and delivery of a comprehensive retention project plan
- Infrastructure and Service Improvement Support the Health, Fitness and Infrastructure Manager in delivering refresh and improvement.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation Stay abreast of industry developments, trends, and technologies..
