What you need to know

Who can apply: This vacancy is open to current Glasgow Life colleagues only.

Hours: 28 hours per week until 31 December 2025, then 35 hours per week from 1 January until 28 August 2026

Contract type: Fixed Term until 28 August 2026

Pay details: The listed salary is for a full-time role. If you’re applying for a part-time or bank job, we will calculate your pay on a pro-rata basis.

Location: You will spend part of your week at home, and part of your week at Tramway, 25 Albert Drive, Glasgow G41 2PE with excellent public transport links/free parking/paid parking nearby.

What you’ll do

As an Operations Officer (Business) you’ll be a part of the team at Glasgow International and will report to the Festival Manager. You’ll play an essential role in providing operational, business and administrative support for the Glasgow International team in the planning, delivery and evaluation of Glasgow International 2026.

Your work will make a visible and lasting difference. This could be:

  • Creating cultural experiences
  • Working behind the scenes to make it all happen

We’re looking for:

  • An appropriate level of qualification/training or employment experience in business and /or cultural events sector.
  • Financial literacy, with experience of processing and monitoring budgets and related financial activity. Including but not exclusive to invoicing and organising travel and accommodation.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and work with a range of stakeholders, including artists, partners/stakeholders and members of the public.
  • Ability to use software packages such as Microsoft Word, Project, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel and design/communications packages/programmes (e.g., mailchimp, Adobe, Canva, InDesign, photoshop, YouTube, Vimeo, etc).
