Job Description

Glasgow Life is looking for a Glasgow Life Attendant to join us on a 35-hour full time permanent contract. 
 
As an Attendant you’ll be joining our Cultural Venues team and will work at City Halls & Old Fruitmarket where you will be helping to provide people with valuable and meaningful experiences through arts and music. Our high-quality services, world-class events and festivals benefit the people of Glasgow. We help people experience the benefits of taking part in cultural programmes and events. The Role 
As a Glasgow Life Attendant, you’ll be an integral part of the team by being responsible for opening and securing the venues, operating the buildings’ alarm systems, cooperating with different departments, and building users, and assisting the venue management team with the day-to-day operation of a busy music and events venue. You will be reporting to the Assistant Venue Managers and be working alongside an established team.
 
The Candidate 
If you’re interested in joining us as a Glasgow Life Attendant, you’ll need: 
• Computer literacy (knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook is desirable)
• Customer Service Experience
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends 
• Ability to work with minimum supervision (experience of being a key holder is desirable)
• Knowledge of basic health and safety is desirable

Our venues have great links to public transport.
General operating hours of the venue are City Halls & Old Fruitmarket: 07:00 – 19:00, Operational hours of the venue may vary dependant on events. This role is working a varied pattern of shifts which will include 7am to 3pm, 10am to 6pm, 12pm to 8pm or 5pm to 1am. Earlier or later finishes may be required according to the events taking place in the venues.
