Glasgow Life operates community centres throughout the city providing warm, welcoming and safe spaces for communities to take part in a wide range of activities and access a range of support services.

Hours: 35 per week.
Typical working pattern over two weeks – Week 1 Mon – Fri 0730-1430, Week 2 Mon-Fri 1430-2130. This pattern is illustrative only, days and times vary and include weekends.

Pay details: The listed salary is for a full-time role. If you’re applying for a part-time or bank job, we will calculate your pay on a pro-rata basis. The hourly rate is £13.60 per hour.

- City-wide, with your main base discussed at interview.
What you’ll do
As a Glasgow Life Attendant, you’ll be a part of an established team, reporting to the Community Services Supervisor You’ll play an essential role in supporting the operations of a number of community centres across the city, this involves maintaining community venues to high levels of cleanliness and housekeeping, interacting with customers and key stakeholders using our facilities, providing a welcoming, safe and secure environment. The role requires facility preparation, cleaning, setting up and dismantling of equipment (e.g. tables and chairs), cash handling and customer service. Your work will make a visible and lasting difference. This could be:
- Supporting our communities
- Helping people get active
- Creating cultural experiences
- Or working behind the scenes to make it all happen

- work with minimum supervision
- undertake manual handling, lifting and the setting up of equipment
- Customer service skills
- be organised, articulate and literate
- be able to work shifts, early / late / evening and weekends
