What you need to know
Who can apply: This vacancy is open to current colleagues of Glasgow City Council or one of its Arm’s Length External Organisations (ALEOs) only.
Hours: 35 per week. 9am-5pm

Location:
- Hybrid. You will spend part of your week at home, and part of your week in one of our offices.
What you’ll do
As a Health and Wellbeing Adviser, you’ll be a part of the Live Well Community Referral team, reporting to the Health and Wellbeing Officer. You’ll play an essential role within Live Well and Whole Family Support connecting people and families to a variety of cultural and physical activities.
As an Adviser within the team your role will be focused within the north of Glasgow to provide personalised support to promote inclusion and wellbeing to local people.
Your work will make a visible and lasting difference, including:
- Supporting people to be more socially connected in their communities
- Helping people to find get more physically active
- Connecting people to cultural or creative experiences
- Delivering self-management workshops to provide people the tools to improve their own wellbeing.

We’re looking for:
- Previous experience of supporting individuals facing a variety of social challenges to achieve goals and positive outcomes
- Ability to show empathy, listen effectively and build rapport to support people from a wide range of backgrounds to participate in community activity.
- Excellent communication and motivational skills, face to face or over the telephone.
- Have excellent administrative and organisational skills and be able to effectively manage a large caseload of approximately 300 referrals per annum.
