What you need to know

Hours: 17.5 hours per week.

Contract type: Permanent.

Pay details: The listed salary is for a full-time role. This will be pro-rata for part-time (£15,492.43 per annum).

Location: At Glasgow Club Scotstoun, 112 Danes Drive, Glasgow, G14 9BQ with excellent public transport links and free parking

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.

What you’ll do

As a Health & Fitness Co-ordinator, you’ll be a part of an established Health & Fitness Team, reporting to the Fitness Team & Retention Manager.

The Health and Fitness Co-ordinator is a strategic role in the development and promotion of health, wellbeing and fitness. As an integral member of the citywide health and fitness team and the localised facility management team you will be responsible in developing new business opportunities, assist in creating health and fitness retention strategies as well as managing, developing, and mentoring your gym instructor team and fitness class program.

Your key role is to ensure high standards of staff performance, assist with achieving income targets and member retention growth. As well as ensuring safe and effective operational management of a fitness suite. You will be expected to assist in the development of health and fitness in all spheres of business as appropriate.

Your work will make a visible and lasting difference. This could be:

  • Supporting our communities
  • Helping people get active
  • Creating cultural experiences
  • Or working behind the scenes to make it all happen

We’re looking for:

  • Educated to HND level or equivalent in a Health and Fitness or Sport Discipline
  • Experience in the operation and development of a health and fitness programme with a customer focused ethos
  • Leadership and supervisory experience with ability to lead and motivate a team of people.
  • Group Fitness Management Experience
