Job Description
Glasgow Life is looking for a Senior Sport & Wellbeing Development Officer to join our in-demand Sport & Physical Activity Team. As a Senior Development Officer you will lead and support a motivated team of Development Officers, Assistants and Advisers to deliver a range of physical activity and community programmes designed to support those who would benefit most from becoming more active, overcome barriers to participation.
You will also be responsible for leading a team to manage the operational delivery of the Glasgow Life Live Well Community Referral programme. This will involve working closely with colleagues in Community Development with whom you will have a joint responsibility to monitor the strategic development of the programme. You will also be required to create and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across Sport, Arts and Music, Museums, Libraries and Communities to ensure all service areas have an opportunity to contribute to ongoing programme development.

The role
The role of the Senior Sport & Wellbeing Development Officer will be to:
Develop the work of the team, ensuring that all team members have work programmes and clear objectives aligned to strategic priorities
Monitor the delivery and quality of the team’s work
Contribute to a range of cross department and cross service projects
Support the implementation of the Glasgow Physical Activity and Sport Action Plan across the team
Develop and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders and funders

Our city-wide contracts mean you will be flexible to work in any of our locations.
Some of our roles are currently piloting hybrid working, with teams working between the office and home. Your line manager will agree these days with you if appropriate to your role.
This role is mainly working 9am – 5pm although some evening and weekend work may be required.
