Job Description

Jobs & Business Glasgow are Glasgow’s biggest provider of employment and training, and our principal objective is to reduce the gap between Glasgow’s and Scotland’s employment rate by increasing the percentage of Glasgow’s jobs going to Glasgow’s residents.

We are currently looking for up to a Service Coordinator to join our team on a fixed-term basis up to 31 March 2026

Position Details

In recognition of the many specialist providers across the voluntary and third sector in Glasgow, and in belief that a collaborative approach involving the key strengths of the organisations within each can create genuine opportunities to break the cycle of unemployment, to help our customers progress to long-term financial stability and career progression, we are introducing our No-One Left Behind service provision which these roles will support.

The Service Coordinator will play a crucial role in establishing and growing this new service across the city, leading on the promotion of our services, engaging with new partners, strengthening community connections, and creating new referral pathways for key target groups.

If successful, lead and support a team of Business Support Officers in each of the host organisations to ensure they are provided with appropriate resources to effectively manage their own caseloads, ensuring these colleagues are providing the highest standard of service to customers.

Further details regarding what this role entails are noted within the Job Description for the post, whilst the Person Specification section confirms the key competencies you are required to demonstrate in your application (we recommend using the STAR technique – situation, task, action, result – in application and interview to demonstrate the key competencies).

The annual salary for the post starts at £33,108.97 per annum, progressing to £36,745.97 on an incremental scale. This is based on a 35-hour working week, working Monday – Thursday, 9am – 5pm; and Friday, 9am – 4pm. Though we welcome discussions on flexible working as part of the recruitment process.

Jobs & Business Glasgow employees have access to a wide-ranging and generous benefits package. If successful in your application, you’ll have access to these benefits which include:
