Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for an Administration Officer to join our TARA service on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2027.

NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.

Position Details

TARA (Trafficking Awareness Raising Alliance) is a support service for trafficking survivors, which helps identify and support women who may have been trafficked for the purpose of commercial sexual exploitation. The service works in partnership with others to provide comprehensive, individual assessments of needs, including risk.

The Administration Officer role supports the service through the provision of administrative support, including the production of key information, ensuring accuracy and effective service delivery.

An SCQF Level 5 qualification in a relevant subject or considerable experience in an administration function is an essential requirement for this role.

Additionally, due to a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010 this post is restricted to women only.

Contract Details

Weekly Hours: 21

Work Pattern: Three days across Monday – Friday, between 9am – 5pm

Annual Salary: £16,612.25 - £19,573.44 on an incremental scale

Leave Entitlement

These include 182 hours paid annual leave, rising to 203 hours after 5 years’ service, as well as an 87.5 hours paid public holidays each year.

For staff working Monday – Friday, this works out as a starting annual leave entitlement of 26 days, rising to 29 days, and 12.5 days’ public holidays. For staff working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern it works out as 18 shifts, rising to 20 shifts, and 9 shifts for public holidays.

These amounts are the full-time equivalent, and will be applied pro-rata for part-time appointments, and appointments made during the leave year which runs January – December.
