Job Description

An Assistant Group Manager (Greenspace and Biodiversity) is required to assist in the management of an award winning local authority service ; leading the development and project-management of a range of programmes which will  contribute to  the future of Glasgow’s Parks and open spaces.

You should have a  degree, or equivalent level qualification, in a subject related to Landscape , Greenspace, the Environment or Sustainability together with demonstrable previous relevant programme management/team management experience,  project planning and people management skills.
                                                                                                                                                    
Previous relevant experience of contracts,  partnership working, grant funding applications and sourcing funding and managing applications is essential.  As are good organisational/ IT/ presentation skills and the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential to lead discussions with communities and external partner organisations.

A current driving licence is desirable.
