Job Description

As Business  Advisor, you will play a central role in supporting the day-to-day operation and strategic reporting of services that provide person-centred, holistic support to people affected by poverty, cancer, long-term health conditions and a range of other issues. Working across Glasgow Helps, Improving the Cancer Journey and Long-Term Conditions, you will contribute to services that provide direct support while also informing how needs are understood and responded to at a city-wide level.

You will be responsible for gathering and using service data to support reporting, monitor performance and inform how the service develops over time. You will be comfortable working across systems, supporting their use and helping to ensure that the way we collect and apply information is purposeful, accurate and fit for use. You will be responsible for key internal and external reporting, and play a role in identifying emerging trends and areas for improvement.

Alongside this, you will also manage a team responsible for delivering person-centred support across services. You will ensure the quality of their work, provide day-to-day guidance and supervision, and help ensure that the service is delivered in line with team values and in a way that caters to the needs and circumstances of the people being supported.

The successful candidate will bring strong organisational skills, a good understanding of how to manage information, and the ability to support both people and systems to work well together. You will be confident in handling competing demands and focused on supporting the continued growth and improvement of the service.

Hybrid working is available in this role. If you’re shortlisted for the post we look forward to telling you more about our approach to ensuring needs of the business are met along with flexibility to manage and maintain your work life balance.
