Job Description

Based within Neighbourhood and Regeneration Services, the Officer will report directly to the Assistant Group Manager – Project Development within Property and Consultancy Services, and will participate proactively within a wider multidisciplinary team to achieve the outcomes identified in the HLF supported Sauchiehall Street Culture and Heritage District Area Action Plan:
key responsibilities include:
• Develop comprehensive business cases in line with HM Treasury’s Green Book guidance to support strategic investment decisions in relation to the built heritage of the street.
• Analyse and articulate project benefits, delivery mechanisms, and benefit realisation strategies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather data, insights, and evidence to inform business case development.
• Produce high-quality reports and briefing materials for senior decision-makers.
• Ensure alignment of business cases with broader city planning objectives, including economic growth, sustainability, and heritage & cultural enrichment.
• Champion the role of culture and heritage in urban development, ensuring these values are embedded in investment proposals.
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of approved projects to ensure benefits are realised lessons are captured.
• Provide advice to the commercial community and 3rd sector organisations on funding opportunities and other matters.
• Manage the project prioritisation process from the initial enquiry stage through to development phase conclusion.

This post is temporary for a period up to 19 months.
