Job Description

Based in the Chief Executive’s Department, Corporate Procurement Unit and reporting to an Operational Procurement Manager you will lead and have responsibility of the tendering process for a wide range of assigned public sector related  ICT categories of spend relating to works, goods & services requirements, determining and advising the client of the appropriate procurement sourcing route to market e.g. open procedure, restricted procedure, competitive procedure with negotiation, negotiated procedure without prior publication, service concessions, dynamic purchasing system etc. 
 
This role is looking for an experienced ICT Category Manager, this will provide a unique opportunity to deliver innovation and commercial acumen in the development of robust sourcing strategies and category plans in relation to the council’s ICT requirements/commercial spend. This can be complex areas with a wide span of services and supply chains.
