Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and talented Digital Media Officer with a strong background in multi-channel digital marketing.

Glasgow recently established a new Destination Management Organisation (DMO) to serve as the city’s voice to the world. Called Destination Glasgow, the new unit sits within Economic Development, in the Chief Executive’s Department.

As Digital Media Officer, you will manage and grow Destination Glasgow’s digital ecosystem, overseeing multiple social media channels and websites. You will create, curate and schedule engaging, high-performing content, working closely with in-house design, destination marketing and communications colleagues to support strategic goals.

You will be skilled at determining how to tailor content for our B2C and B2B audiences, and creating integrated programmes for maximum impact. You will be equally adept creating digital content as you are at copywriting, editing and proofreading. Using analytics, you will produce post campaign reports and monitor the growth of website audiences and social channels followers. You will actively monitor social ad campaign activity adapting and retargeting where required to ensure maximum return on investment.

You will be creative, curious and results driven with a strong interest in emerging trends.
