Job Description

Job summary
The Energy Coordinator will report to the Assistant Group Manager of the Energy Team and work to provide energy management services to cover the Glasgow Estate.
The main responsibilities will include monitoring and reporting utilities, assist in the daily operations in regard to: utilities contracts and billing across the GCC estate, assist in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and targets. This would be achieved though close working with the Estates teams to support energy/utility projects. Additionally, they will be able to manage their workload, coordinating and prioritising tasks to support the resolution of any utility issues as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
The Energy Coordinator will:
• Payment and resolution of invoicing issues, as well as record keeping of important documentation according to GCC requirements and energy legislation.
• Collect, store and process relevant data and information, creating accurate, timely and appropriate records. For example, meter readings for recharges to other departments, invoices from utility providers.
• Assist with the introduction, development and promotion of improved energy efficiency monitoring scheme to provide oversight of the Council’s energy usage, including the provision of statistics and analysis required for statutory and internal reporting.
• Assist the Estates team in organising the installation, replacement or removal of metering and helping arrange repairs or site visits in relation to these.
• Provide essential coordination of the program of meter replacement / AMR installation ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice as required by legislation.
