Job Description

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Surveyor to join Glasgow City Council to deliver advice and shape the portfolio of the largest Council in Scotland.
Based at Exchange House, you will be part of a team responsible for the provision of a co-ordinated property service, disposing of and acquiring commercial and residential land and buildings. You will advise on all aspects of property services, lease renewals, rent reviews, terminations and acquisitions. You will have excellent report writing skills and be a good communicator.
You will be MRICS qualified with a degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a property related subject. You should have considerable experience of marketing and negotiating sales and acquisitions of land and property. Experience of property development, property management and public sector working would be advantageous but are not prerequisites.
You will be self-motivated and confident, be computer literate with excellent IT and interpersonal skills, be capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a team in line with performance standards and deadlines. Familiarity with property management systems would be helpful.
