The Business Partner is a key member of the Finance team within City Building. Working alongside the Business Partnering Lead and Senior Business Partner, you will be part of an integrated and professional finance team, delivering the highest level of financial management consistent with the business objectives. This team will be the key liaison with operational teams, providing strategic financial insights, analysis, and support to drive business performance. The role combines financial knowledge with an understanding of the organisation’s objectives to support delivery of Business Partnering to the organisation. Responsibilities of the role include supporting the preparation of financial performance reports, contributing to the annual business planning, and assisting with the closure of annual accounts within agreed timescales. You will also be responsible for financial ledger maintenance, undertaking income and expenditure reconciliations, and providing financial reports and guidance to budget holders. You will effectively liaise with key stakeholders, including the external reporting and compliance team, to ensure efficient financial operations.What You Will Bring
The Finance Officer will have knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and will be experienced working within a finance function in a complex fast-paced business environment. This role requires strong interpersonal, communication, and team working skills, as you will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to support decision-making and deliver results. You will have demonstrable experience applying relevant financial support tools and will be able to effectively interpret financial data.
