Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Neighbourhood, Regeneration and Sustainability NRS Governance and Compliance Team (GCT) as a Governance Officer. There are two roles available, one working with Internal Audit, MLUs, Complaints & FOIs and one working as Committee Support.

Working collaboratively with officers across the Council, the role will involve collating and critically reviewing information from multiple sources to identify cross cutting themes, policies and strategies across NRS and the wider Council family. Instilling strong governance, you will ensure adherence to Committee processes and procedures, co-ordinate responses, provide support and monitor performance of Elected Member enquiries, Complaints, FOIs and Internal Audits within NRS.

You will ensure adherence to existing governance requirements whilst identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

You should be a self-motivated, organised individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to analyse and interpret information in a variety of formats.

The successful candidate should have a relevant formal qualification at HND level such as Business Management or equivalent OR Extensive working experience within an Information Governance setting.
