Group Manager (Business Operations & Waste Disposal)

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Service, you will be responsible for leading and delivering the Business operations & waste Disposal service across the city. 
You will demonstrate your ability to plan, allocate and organise work to provide agreed service / standards and to manage a range of competing service and operational priorities. You must be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a wider team and have experience of managing staff and work allocation. 
You will have substantial experience at senior management level gained in Recycling and Waste Management ideally within a local authority/public sector setting.  You will be to demonstrate excellent communication / influencing / IT skills as well as good negotiating, analytical and numeracy skills on complex issues. Knowledge of budgetary control and applying KPI’s is essential.
A current Driving Licence and Health & Safety training are also essential. A Degree (or equivalent) in a Business,  Science or Engineering discipline is desirable.
