Job Description

In 2000 Glasgow City Council entered a 30-year Public/Private/Partnership Agreement for the city’s 29 Secondary Schools and 1 primary school, this approach was one of the largest of its kind in Europe at that time.  With 6-years to go until the contract expires, we are looking for an individual with the skills to manage and coordinate, the hand back of these key assets back within the responsibility of Glasgow City Council.  

This is an exciting opportunity to fulfil a key role within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability (NRS) in Scotland’s largest local authority.

Reporting to the Head of Property Asset Management, the post holder will have direct responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the hand back phase ensuring that the assets are handed back in an appropriate condition.

The post holder will be key in bringing together and coordinating a team of technical workstreams, human resources, legal and commercial teams, working closely with key internal and external partners throughout the duration of the hand back phase.  

We want to hear from talented individuals with a passion and drive for regenerating and developing Glasgow’s school estate.

You will be a first-class communicator and a natural relationship manager whilst demonstrating excellent project management skills. You will have an appreciation and understanding of working within a political environment. You will be educated to degree level and able to evidence continual professional development.

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
