Job Description

Glasgow City Council is seeking to appoint an Instrumental Instructor of Upper Strings and Piano, to work in various establishments throughout the city, in a temporary peripatetic post of 35 hours per week.
You must be a passionate and well qualified musician with a true commitment to teaching who will inspire the musical development of our children and young people.
Teaching duties: To teach violin, viola and piano to pupils of all ages, from beginner to Grade 8 standard and to prepare courses and SQA performance programmes as required.
In addition to the range of teaching and other duties outlined in the job specification we are looking for individuals who enjoy working collegiately, and who have a firm commitment to improving the outcomes for Glasgow's young people.
Candidates who are offered an interview should attend 30 Minutes before alloted interview time, and be prepared to perform 1 piece of their choice on their first instrument, followed by formal interview.
