Job Description
This Is an exciting opportunity for an Access Officer representing the City Council and based within the Planning service. The postholder will deliver the Core Paths plan and liaise with stakeholders within and outwith the Council through the Local Access Forum. You will be a key consultee for developments within the city and play an important role in upholding the Council's responsibility on access issues as well as delivering on placemaking outcomes, through involvement in development management processes and Council projects.
You must be educated to Degree level in sustainable transport, countryside access or a related subject. You will have good communication skills and be able to monitor performance against targets and prioritise own work.
The post requires comprehensive experience in Access legislation and to have good knowledge of the Main Statutory Duties under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003:
It is desirable for you to have a full current driving licence and knowledge and application of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act.
