Job Description
Scotland’s largest planning authority seeks a motivated and versatile Planner to join our Development Management Team at an exciting time in the ongoing regeneration and transformation of Glasgow.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our public and private sector partners to facilitate the sustainable development of the City, achieve high quality design and placemaking, secure inward investment, grow the City Centre population and safeguard the City’s 1800+ listed buildings.
Glasgow City Planning are a close knit team of committed planners, architects and heritage officers who offer a supportive work environment including mentoring, training and professional development.
Development Management officers work on a dynamic and varied caseload that includes major regeneration proposals, hotel and office developments, residential and student accommodation and complex heritage proposals which offer the opportunity to expand experience and develop skills which will contribute to career development.
Essential qualifications are to be Educated to degree level in a suitable built environment subject. Holds a minimum of Affiliate/ Licentiate/Associate membership of the RTPI or equivalent professional body
