Job Description
The role is as Principal Officer within the Housing Investment Section. You will operate on a geographical basis assisting in the programme management of the Council's annual housing budget of £100m+. This pays for new-build and improved housing across several tenures. Your work will primarily consist of working with Registered Social Landlords (RSLs), overseeing projects from inception to post-completion and ensuring that the Programme's annual targets are achieved. You will also be involved in large-scale, long-term regeneration projects, budget setting and monitoring, and staff management. Knowledge of area regeneration processes and enthusiasm for housing development is essential.
Under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989, this post is politically restricted.
This post is fixed term for a period up to 2 years
