Job Description
Scotland's largest Planning Authority seeks a motivated and inspirational team manager with extensive Development Planning experience to operate as a Principal Planner.
The new role will be part of the Development Plan Group and will primarily focus on the Developer Contributions policy development for the emerging new development plan for Glasgow and provide continuity and capacity for the existing situation running with the current adopted plan.
This is a management position and will oversee a small team and work with within a wider group to fulfill the development planning commitments of the work programme for NRS Planning and provide additional capacity accross the planning service.
The successful candidate will require good negotiation skills to work with developers, service departments and other internal and external colleagues to deliver an infrastructure first based process to unlock and deliver urban regeneration and help deliver successful places for the communities of Glasgow.
This new opportunity to work in the Development Plan Group comes at an important stage as we embark on producing a new City Development Plan for Glasgow and progress an exciting range of work in delivering on the national transformation of planning and continued regeneration of the city.
