Located within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability (NRS), this post plays a key role in delivering the City Centre Strategy (CCS) 2024–30, now at its midpoint. The Strategy comprises 19 priority actions focused on regeneration, repurposing, development, and placemaking.

The postholder will support delivery across multiple workstreams, including progressing the Development Team workplan, supporting and reporting on the City Centre Dashboard, liaising with external partners and stakeholders such as the Business Improvement District, the Scottish Cities Alliance, the City Centre Task Force Transport Sub‑Group, and the Events Planning Group. In addition, the postholder will oversee activity related to the Minor Improvement Fund and the Meanwhile Use Fund and continue to support the delivery of the recommendations of the District Regeneration Frameworks, including current projects such as Greening Townhead and the Necropolis Connectivity Enhancements.
The role will also provide operational and strategic support to the City Centre Task Force and its four thematic subgroups, ensuring coordinated action, high‑quality reporting, and momentum across partners.

The postholder will:
• Support and coordinate delivery of the City Centre Strategy action plan and associated projects, ensuring progress across multiple parallel workstreams.
• Lead on defined actions within the CCS Action Plan, working with internal and external stakeholders to secure outcomes.
• Provide high‑quality programme and project management, including risk management, dependencies tracking, cost and benefit analysis, and outcome evaluation.
• Prepare, analyse and present reports, briefings and updates for senior management, committees, elected members, and external partners.
• Facilitate the effective operation of the City Centre Task Force and its four Subgroups, including agenda preparation, meeting coordination, action tracking, and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate resources efficiently, ensuring delivery is aligned with strategic objectives and maximises added value across NRS teams.
• Build and maintain networks across the Council family, private sector, public agencies and national stakeholders, enabling joint working and shared delivery.
• Provide excellent customer and stakeholder service, ensuring professional communication and a solutions‑focused approach.
