Job Description
Glasgow City Council is recruiting a dynamic and ambitious Night-time Economy (NTE) Manager to lead the delivery of the city's strategic vision for the sector.
Based in the Council’s Economic Development division, the postholder will work closely with the Night-time Economy Commission and public, private and third-sector partners. The NTE Manager will provide strategic leadership for the development, coordination and delivery of the Nightshift: Glasgow workplan, helping ensure that the city is vibrant, inclusive, safe and economically productive after dark.
The successful candidate will convene and lead multi-agency partners, oversee the delivery of priority actions and provide strategic advice to senior officers and elected members. They will have experience of working within the Night-time economy or a related field, such as hospitality, culture, events, placemaking, regeneration, public engagement, destination management, BIDs, town centre management, communications or partnership development.
They will possess, or quickly develop, a strong understanding of Glasgow's night-time landscape, together with the ability to build and maintain relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. The role requires occasional evening and weekend working.
Hybrid working is available and, if shortlisted for the post, you will hear more about our approach to ensuring how business needs and work-life balance are met.
Glasgow City Council is currently introducing a new pay and grading structure, which may impact salaries quoted in job adverts.
