Job Description

Glasgow City Council is seeking to recruit Support for Learning Workers for St Mungo's Academy.

The Support for Learning Worker plays a key role in the modern school environment in providing support and assistance to children and young people with additional support needs to access the curriculum.

The main duties and responsibilities include the provision of care and support to children whilst building positive working relationships and promoting positive behaviour.

This position also includes the provision of support with the supervision and administration of medication and intimate personal care.

Please note successful candidates will be required to pay for the costs associated with PVG Scheme Membership/Checks and regulatory body registration where required.

 

These posts are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended)

 

The salary shown is the current salary for this post. Under the Council’s new Pay and Grading Structure, which is due to be implemented from 4 April 2027, the salary for this role is expected to increase to £11,068.30 Further information will be provided to candidates during the recruitment process.
