Job Description
The Role
Glasgow City Assessor is looking to recruit a RICS Chartered Valuation Surveyor to join one of our Valuation Teams.
You will be responsible for surveying and valuing properties for both Council Tax and Non-domestic Rating. In addition to your valuation duties, you will also discuss and negotiate disposal of proposals to alter both Council Tax Bands and Rateable Values including presentation of expert witness evidence before the Tribunal Service.
We operate a hybrid working model with a mixture of office-based collaboration, focussed home working, and of course, survey operations within the city. We have a range of benefits and flexible working policies to support you through your time with us as well as an award winning contributory pension scheme.
Selection Process
We operate a competency-based recruitment process which aligns the role profile to a Person Specification.
Please take time to familiarise yourself with the requirements of the relevant role profile and person specification before completing your application. It is worth taking time to ensure your application demonstrates this and in particular, the skills, knowledge, and experience section can be invaluable in demonstrating competence. Applicants who best demonstrate competence will be invited for an in-person interview at our offices within the City Chambers complex in the centre of Glasgow. You will be asked to choose an interview slot using an online portal if you are selected.
