Job Description
A vacancy exists for the role of a Vehicle Pound Manager responsible for the operation of the Vehicle Pound. The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent leadership and organisational skills, the ability to direct, prioritise and manage their team of 2 Pound Supervisors, 5 administration staff and 4 uplift drivers who work various shifts, to support service delivery.
The position working pattern is Monday to Friday 35 hours per week and duties include the processing, review and updating of the systems used for the removal of illegally parked and abandoned vehicle cases. Dealing with financial transactions and associated reports, dealing with enquiries from the public, investigating and responding to complaints of abandoned vehicles. Therefore, a knowledge of Decriminalisation of Parking is desirable.
The role of the Vehicle Pound Manager includes establishing and maintaining the registers for all lifting equipment and accessories, adhering to the statutory inspection regime, and ensuring all lifting equipment and accessories are suitably maintained and arrangements are in place for reporting defective equipment in line with regulations (LOLER).
