Job Purpose

We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and enthusiastic UK-registered dietitian to join our friendly and supportive Children and Young People’s Dietetic Service, part of the wider Child Health team within Highland Council. This is a permanent post based across Raigmore Hospital and The Pines in Inverness.

You will work alongside a team of experienced dietitians and support staff, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care for children, young people, and their families. The role will primarily involve working with children and young people with neurodiversity.
We are seeking someone who:

•    Has experience in, or a strong interest in developing a high level of skill for supporting children, young people, and families with neurodiversity and complex eating challenges

•    Can work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

•    Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements

Registered Dietician with the HCPC

Honours Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics (4 year degree
qualification with several clinical practice placements in a variety of NHS settings)

Extensive knowledge of nutritional and dietetic care gained from NHS experience at Specialist level

Clean driving licence

This position is classified as a regulated role. As such, an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required depending on your nationality and recent residency history. Specifically, this check will be necessary if you do not meet both of the following criteria:

• You must be a national of the United Kingdom or one of the following countries: Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Hungary, Greece, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, or Poland.

• You must not have lived or worked in any country outside of the UK or those listed above for a period of three months or more, while aged 18 years or over, within the past five years.
