Post Title: Assistant Technician/Technician/Senior Technician
Location: Inverness
Hours: 35 hours per week

Job Purpose:

  • To make considered judgements regarding technical and development matters relating to transport and flooding.
  • To represent the Roads and Infrastructure point of view in relation to
    development proposals.
  • To consider and approve applications for Road Construction Consent.
  • To communicate effectively with developers, planning officers, elected
    Members and the public regarding the transport implications of new
    development.
  • To supervise junior members of staff undertaking development management
    and roads construction consent

Requirements

Qualification at an appropriate level: HNC/ HND/ Degree in Civil Engineering or subject related to roads development management.

Membership of an appropriate professional body. Working towards (Assistant Technician level) or gained (Technician/ Senior Technician level) Professional qualification at EngTech or IENG (ICE/ CIHT) or equivalent

Valid driving licence
