Job Purpose: To assist the Catering Operational Manager in the effective and efficient operational management of the day-to-day delivery of the Highland Council Catering Service which encompasses Education, Civic and Commercial outlets.
To provide effective and efficient management supervision of the day to day delivery and growth of high quality catering services.

Requirements
- Proven experience of effectively managing co-ordinating and supervising teams.
- Relevant professional qualification e.g., HNC/HND/SVQ or NVQ or appropriate proven
working experience of a minimum of 3 years. - Food Safety qualification.
- Valid Driving Licence.
- Extensive management experience specific to the catering industry within the public or private sector.
- Knowledge and understanding of Schools (Health Promotion & Nutrition) (Scotland) Act
and related responsibilities.
This position is classified as a regulated role. As such, an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required depending on your nationality and recent residency history. Specifically, this check will be necessary if you do not meet both of the following criteria:
- You must be a national of the United Kingdom or one of the following countries: Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Hungary, Greece, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, or Poland.
- You must not have lived or worked in any country outside of the UK or those listed above for a period of three months or more, while aged 18 years or over, within the past five years.
