Job Description

Post Title:     Client Services Co-ordinator
Location
:       Inverness / Hybrid working
Hours:           35 Hours per week
Duration:      Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
Salary:          £34,853. - £37,965 p.a.

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

This post may be home or office-based. We are reviewing our office accommodation to determine best use, taking into account Service needs, staff preferences and their requirements.

Job  Purpose: To contribute to the design and delivery of a flexible, person-centred employability service for clients which provides pathways into fair and sustainable work to meet emerging local labour market priorities and to tackle in-work poverty through supporting parents to progress in work and increase their earnings. 

To work with partners on the identification of clients and the assessment of their needs.  To support the design, co-ordination and delivery of a quality employability offer which ensures clients receive the services they need to support their progression towards and in work.  To ensure the consistency and quality of the employability service offer and the client experience.

Requirements

  • Relevant Degree and/or direct experience of working with clients who face barriers when securing /sustaining work.
  • Given the nature of this job, the post holder will be required to make visits away from their normal base. A driving licence is highly desirable, but consideration would be given to the post holder making alternative arrangements as long as these meet the operational requirements of the Service.
  • Awareness of the Scottish education system and experience of working in or with schools and colleges.
  • Experience of the development of employability services, projects and policies, including a good working knowledge of the partner programmes and projects supporting people seeking employment.
  • Experience of contract compliance and performance management.
  • Experience in dealing and engaging with individual clients, businesses and public sector partner organisations.
  • Awareness of current and emerging national policy as it impacts on employability services.
