Post Title: Community Engagement Officer
Location: Can be based at any of our office locations, across the Highlands
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £40,021 - £43,388 per annum

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: To facilitate, support and deliver engagement activity and operational change implementing and promoting the Council’s Future Operating Model, including developing local relationships and networks with community bodies and embedding change into the community.

To provide support and build capacity amongst local community groups to enable greater involvement and participation in local planning and engagement activity and enhancing services appropriate to the communities. To support groups to Bring forward ideas for growth and development of the community.

The post will sit within the Future Operating Model Programme Team and will work across an allocated area. The post holder will work as part of the wider area-based team to support projects and activity across the area and support other area teams, if required.

Requirements

Demonstrate through experience of working in an equivalent job role, evidence of degree level of educational ability or Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification
